Crew Drama Update

I don't hate the F/O mentioned in the previous post anymore.

That night, after I wrote the post, the captain of this trip came in the computer room and we chatted. He talked me down. He said I had been shit on, and that it was really low what happened. For some reason I felt better hearing this from him, someone who had nothing to do with it, than from the other 20 pilots who said the same thing. Another thing that calmed me down is the fact that the F/O who was involved lives in New Orleans. What he is going through, it just puts a stupid incident in perspective.

It's been a weird trip. The captian either has a thing for me or a thing against me; I have gone from DESPISING the F/O to feeling for him; and I have drank THREE TIMES this week! (long overnights + peer pressure = drinking too much) I also have eaten a lot of bad food.

I am going to be glad to get home, I am going to have 4 days off and then I will start my new schedule. All September I will work the last flight of the night and the first flight of the day, so I can bike to and from work :) When I bike regularly I am the happiest person in the world : )

mood: not bad

Good to hear...

I think it makes you happy because of your funny shaped seat.

Diana Crabtree said...

that might have something to do with it ;)

It's good that you got it resolved in a trouble free way. It will be nice to get home, have a little break, and start a new, more enjoyable schedule.

I'm glad for you.

=:-)

Im more concerned about how YOUR day is! I dreamt about doggies last night :) I dreamt there was a block party sort of thing and there were lots of doggies there, lots of different breeds

Maybe I should get rid of the word verification thing, I hate deleting spam becuase it takes so long, but the word verification takes just as long! And requires more concentration!

G3T Films said...

I agree with the word verification thing.

I didn't dream at all last night, drank lot's of beer and passed out instead.

Well you know about my cookies problem. Randomly (it seems) the computer wont let me go to the "dashboard" because it claims I dont have cookies enabled, when, in fact, I do.

I will try it again, the last time I did was about a half hour ago.

If they keep forgetting things like that they must be Hash-Cookies.

G3T Films said...

You didn't eat one of those Hash-Cookies did you? You're forgetting to answer : )

Diana Crabtree said...

Huh?

Have you ever noticed how funny the word "forgetting" is? FOHR-GHET-TING HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!

G3T Films said...

Hahahahaha

You stoned little bunny you.

Diana Crabtree said...

Bunny? Yeah I'm a bunny! "Ribbit Ribbit!"

*hops around with hands held limply in front of her chest*

"Ribbit Ribbit"

G3T Films said...

Um, Froggy?

Diana Crabtree said...

Thats the sort of thing I would say if I was stoned (I am still laughing uncontrollably at it)

Sadly, I can't smoke, as long as I am in this job, I miss it terribly!

"Ribbit Ribbit" *hops*

Drugs are bad mkay

I used to live in a state where it was decriminalised. You could even own 3 plants (under two feet) in a privately own residence. Now I live where it's illegal so I don't smoke much.

I think it's one of the most widely misused drugs in society, fun, but misused.

*Satan sits on couch barely moving* mmmheh hehe *mumbles* ribbit, mmmheh hehe

Diana Crabtree said...

Misused? I can say a lot of people self-medicate with it, but how do you mean "misused"?

G3T Films said...

Exactly that it is a very powerful self medication tool. But people smoke far too much for it to be of use to them. LOike other medications, you wouldn't take 20 asprin at once, small amounts infrequently. Use your brain to work out what the impulses you have under the influence to continue the 'medication' effect.

When you self-medicate with marijuana you tend to repeat yourself

Diana Crabtree said...

I think self medication is rarely a good idea. I think a drink now and then or a smoke now and then is a good thing, a "self medication" of chilling out now and then, -like asprin- but if you do something every day then there is more going on then the normal "chill out"

G3T Films said...

Exactamundo, but if you are a self-aware person and you use it infrequently for a purpose or an issue then I think it has merit. The problems arise when people think they are self aware when they're actually fooling themselves a lot of the time.

I like to use it when I have writers block.

Diana Crabtree said...

This is making me sad...I miss it.

I think very interesting ideas could be sparked with it. I loved how sharply focused I could get on a single thing...I was really good at being in another persons shoes when I smoked, like I could watch cartoons from the perspective of a 10 year old...that facinated me

Diana Crabtree said...

You know what else is good for writers block? Obsessive thinking. This medication is wonderful, but I am not as writey lately.

G3T Films said...

I think all writers are a little obsessive, and yes it is good for really experiencing a character.

I don't think I could ever miss it though. It's a learned skill, the feeling, the state of mind, the way you view the world under it's influence.

I guess that's why people who smoke a lot tend to repeat themselves, they don't learn the lesson the drug has to offer they only experience it, so having not learnt they go back and do it again and again and again and have the smae conversations again and ....

Diana Crabtree said...

It is a skill, and maybe if I had done it more in my life it would be more well developed, but if you asked me to imagine being 80 I could try, but if I were smoking I would come up with something brilliant.

I never smoked alot, maybe three times a year, but I had the CHOICE. I cant at all, and its worth it because I love my job, but it's just really unfair. Smoking on my day off is not their business, it's not like its meth or anything.

Diana Crabtree said...

I am really sorry, I am not going to make it much longer...its nearly one

G3T Films said...

You're right the intolerence of it is a little weird in this day and age. I guess it's just a way to ensure you're not under the influence at the time of flying.

If you could come up with something brillant then it's in you anyway. You just need practice releasing the character.

G3T Films said...

That's cool. Sleep is Good!

Diana Crabtree said...

Well by choosing this job I have made the decision that I will have to release the character on my own without chemical assistance :( I appreciate the point you make though, that its in me, the drug is just a means of finding it and I can find it in another way.

G3T Films said...

Yay! Alcohol is the lubricant of writers, Dope is for actors, ... is for people with anxiety disorders. Whatever your poison, use with care!

Diana Crabtree said...

...trancendental meditation?...

G3T Films said...

definately use with care... it's awesome but who wants to end up as one of those wishy-washy spirtual types.

Diana Crabtree said...

yeah, they have such scattered energy. Their auras are so translucent, not opaque like a person with balanced chakras. I want to tell those people "get a rose quartz would ya?"

G3T Films said...

LMAO

I really feel what you're saying Man you're like so in touch with the ebb adn flow of the universe and everything MAN like totally Wow. yeah, rose quartz is cool, like when you hold it up to the sun and it's like, you know, rose, yeah, the sun inside a rose in the sun, like Wow.

Diana Crabtree said...

Woah! You just blew my mind!

Right now I feel the same way as when I have an amethyst held above my third eye.

G3T Films said...

That's your special eye right... the brown eye?

Diana Crabtree said...

ewww

G3T Films said...

Is that the noise you make when you're meditating with a crystal on your third eye? Ewwwwww Ummmmm Ewwwww Ummmmm

Diana Crabtree said...

NO!

Diana Crabtree said...

Its Ewwwwwwwwww Ommmmmmmm

G3T Films said...

You mean you do meditate with a crystal on your third eye but you don't make that noise?

G3T Films said...

Doh, beat me to it.

G3T Films said...

Shouldn't you be going to bed?
